We have been using the store locator on many of our sites and any site running Joomla 2.5, the store locator has broken

On our other site

I have tried twice to upload latest version without success and gives no results and blank map. But now the formatting has also broken and the page looks weird with overlapping divs and no links displaying for search results.
Finally, we purchased an API key from Google (geolocator for up to 100,000 uses per day), verified our site AND TXT records credentials and pasted it in back end of your system and we get invalid API error message. What do I need to do to make this work?
Every time I try and make progress with this store locator I have to keep rolling back which is driving me nuts and taking more time than it should. Please help.
