my location widget doesn't work

The "mylocation-wdget" doesn't work. Spins forever.
I don't see anything in the manual about this.
Is something else required to get this thing working?
If not I'll just add .mylocation-widget{display:none;} to the css to get rid of it.

Other quick questions:
1) How do I hide Categories and Tags from the map? These aren't applicable to our stores.
Seems a bit tricky to hide these with css when everything has the same class row-fluid.

2) can we display the results to the right of the map with a responsive layout?
