Some ads donn't work with Internet Explorer 9

7 years 4 days ago #1371 by rottenberg
Hi
Joomla system 2.5
Openx : local OpenX Source 2.8

On my page I have 2 openx ads :
    <li>468x60 jpg banner</li>
    <li>905x265 HTML banner</li>

The problem arrives only with IE (I have tested only IE9. I can't test previous versions of IE).

No problem withe the 468x60 banner.
The problem arrives only with the HTML Banner. The HTML banner is a Youtube video embedded into an image with z-index layers. the image has an hyperlink.

On OPENX no problem everything is OK even with IE9.

On my site I get the image but the Youtube video is not present.

I have tested an OPENX iframe integration : I get the video but the png image which embed the video had (on IE9 only) a blue border (the one showing hyperlink). I didn't succeded to suppress it.

What can I do to get your module working correctly with IE9.

Here an exemple of html banner :

<div id="mediaspace" style="position: relative; text-align: left; width: 905px; height: 259px; background-color: #dbf5f3; z-index: 0;overflow:hidden;">
<script type='text/javascript' src='../longtail/jwplayer.js'></script>
<div id='mediaspace'>This text will be replaced</div>
<script type='text/javascript'>
jwplayer('mediaspace').setup({
'flashplayer': '../longtail/player.swf',
'file': ' youtu.be/L58reVa_uFg ',
'backcolor': 'dbf5f3',
'frontcolor': 'dbf5f3',
'lightcolor': 'dbf5f3',
'screencolor': 'dbf5f3',
'volume': '0',
'controlbar': 'none',
'autostart': 'true',
'repeat': 'always',
'stretching': 'none',
'width': '905',
'height': '265'
});
</script>
</div>
<div style="position: relative; z-index: 100; margin-top: -265px; text-align: left;height:265px;overflow:hidden;"><a href =" www.tiffany.fr/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGr...+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+ " target="_blank"><img src="../images/adds/accueil/tiffany.png" width="905" height="265" alt="dior" /></a></div>

thanks for help

Hi Michael,

Our system does not affect the presentation of the banner so it is not direclty related to the use of the module. If Craigs suggestion above doesn't help, You'll need to consult OpenX documentation for more details.
